“Master Habiba Touré and master Hervé Gouaméné, the lawyers of Laurent Gbagbo gave evidence yesterday, on Tuesday, November 8th, of requests of provisional release, for Laurent Gbagbo, his spouse Simone Ehivet and their son Michel. Concerning this last, French citizen, the lawyers are surprised at the absence of reaction of the French government.”
Michel Gbagbo detained to be the son of the president Laurent GBAGBO
As regards MICHEL GBAGBO, their son, a petition of provisional release was submitted on Tuesday, in front of the judge d’ Instruction of the 3rd Office near the Court of Abidjan Plateau. From memory, MICHEL GBAGBO would be detained, according to Minister of Justice of the Ivory Coast, for the only and new offence yet codified in the criminal law of the Ivory Coast which is « to be the son of the president Laurent GBAGBO ».
No reaction of the French government
Moreover, the lawyers of Michel GBAGBO are indignant that the French Government, anxious about the situation of his nationals who can be the object of legal proceedings out of its territory when they are faulty, and also of nationals of other nationalities, notably the Bulgarian nurses kept in Libya, is concerned not at all about the illegal and excessive imprisonment of this French citizen Michel GBAGBO.
